Josh Miley (Bass, Backing Vocals)
For Josh, playing bass was something of a birthright. His dad, Dan, has been working the low end since the early 1970s, and some of Josh's favorite childhood photos are of him posing with his father's guitars. Fast forward 15 years and, after a stretch of exploring brass instruments like the trumpet and euphonium, Josh finally found his way back home to the bass. He was influenced by jazz fusion legend Stanley Clarke, Tony Levin (King Crimson, Peter Gabriel), Pino Palladino (Tears For Fears, D'Angelo), bass teacher extraordinaire Anthony Wellington, and Rocco De Prestia (Tower of Power). After some serious jazz study, a stint as a college DJ, and almost 25 years of playing in bands, Josh is proud to be bringing the funky bottom end to the Boombox Legends.
